Quilinor is the fictional continent in which the game takes place; it's the overworld. It has many towns including:

It also has a named island Calatiki on which Vampyr's Castle (location 98,94) has been erected. If you save here you're screwed because there's no way back!

If you shuffle of this mortal coil you can visit Heaven; whether you return is determined in part by how many quests you've beaten.

Traversing the overworld is dangerous as it has many powerful monsters:

Thief
Treant

Wolf
Cyclops
Troll

Tricks[]

If you save then reload all monsters will vanish. This is good if you're being pursued by something you can't beat.
Resting on the overworld is free, quick, and easy. If you combine it with the trick above then you'll never have to waste money on Inns again!
