Buffs are passive effects that last for a certain number of turns (either moving on the overworld or doing something in combat) since casting.

Miscellaneous Magic

These spells can only be cast outside of combat by pressing M:

Wizard Eye

Cost: 7 magic

Buff length: 100 turns

Removes visibility limitations/line of sight for the duration of the buff.

Mystical Boost

Cost: 12 magic

Buff length: 100 turns

Boosts Magic offensive by 11-15 points (capped at 100) for the duration of the buff.

Heroism

Cost: 10 magic

Buff length: 100 turns

Boosts Fighting attack by 11-15 (capped at 100) for the duration of the buff.

Cure Light Wounds

Cost: 3 magic

Cures between 10-20 hit points

Cure Critical Wounds

Cost: 6 magic

Cures between 25-40 hit points

Exit to Land

Cost: 8 magic

Will return the player to the overworld. Can only be cast in certain dungeons.

Combat Spells

These spells can only be cast in combat by pressing C. The buffs last outside of combat.

Magic Missiles

Cost: 6 magic

Fireball

Cost: 12 magic

Lightning

Cost: 13 magic

Burning Hands

Cost: 3 magic

Enemy Disintegration

Cost: 16

Spell Protection

Cost: 4 magic

Buff length: 80 turns

Boosts Magic Defensive by 11-15 points (capped at 100) for the duration of the buff.

Shield

Cost: 6 magic

Buff length: 80 turns

Boosts Fighting Defense by 11-15 points (capped at 100) for the duration of the buff.

Confusion

Cost: 8 magic

Buff length: 15 turns

Causes enemies in combat to move and attack in random directions.

Time Delay

Cost: 15 magic

Buff length: 8 turns

Freezes enemies. They won't attack or move.

Iron Skin

Costs: 10 magic

Buff length: 40 turns

Boosts Fighting Defense by 30-35 (capped at 100) for the duration of the buff.

Scare

Cost: 3 magic

Rust

Cost: 20 magic

Only available after learning it from the Cleric in the Castle.
